Now for something a lot more cheerful. Through the magic that is YouTube, I can now directly tell you about stupid videos of my favourite shows. This time I bring you a sketch from one of the best and therefore least viewed comedy shows this country has produced in the past decade, The Micallef Programme.

The Programme was produced from 1999 to 2003, spawning three series of complete randomness and a lot of politically inspired sketches, such as all the Howard jokes and particular the question time sketch which involves Shaun waffling on for about 5 minutes giving non answers to a question we are not quite certain of. Many of those are sadly still relevant today, a reflection of the current government's longevity. (Ooh... careful what you say there, tree hugger...)

If you were to sample a certain series of the Programme, I would certainly recommend Series Two, which is the white cover. Alternatively, you could buy the complete set which would make me (and certainly Shaun) very happy. It's time more people saw this show. I'd buy you all copies, but then there'd be none left for me to build a little fort with.

This particular sketch is one of my faves because of the way Shaun steals the limelight from his guest at every available opportunity. The overacting, the dancing in particular, is hillarious and the lack of continuity is wonderfully applied throughout. At first I didn't quite get what was going on, as I didn't really know the lyrics to the song at the time. After you get what the lyrics are on about, it still doesn't make any sense. But that's not necessarily a bad thing.

This video had better show up on Facebook, otherwise I'll have to post it up there too. That's modern technology for you. But that's a topic for another post. And next week I'll try and post things throughout the week, and not in lazy bursts of typing over the weekend.

lol. Shaun Micallef is so underrated. That's a classic. Although I didn't know that the Micallef Programme lasted 4 years! o.O Maybe I'm thinking about another show that he did, but that's unlikely. hmm.
Anyway, hadn't visited for a while, so it's probably a bit late to say hope work's easing up for you. But it sounds like it happens at every office, it's one of the worst things about office life. Cancels out the perk of slacking off.
